We had difliculty in accommodating the large entry, and had to avail ourselves of the cattle pens. Several lots of good conditioned sheep were offered, but, taking the yarding throughout, the sheep lacked condition, the bulk of the owes being just off the lambs. The sale dragged somewhat, but livened up later on, and we have to report a satisfactory clearance, about 2000 sheep being turned out unsold, the balance being disposed of at current prices, but on the whole the sale can be described as in and out. Mr T. 11. Groves, of Tawataia, topped the market with a pen of 2-tooth ewes at 39s 9d, while Mr J.
