GREEK CRISIS.
A SIGNFICANT MESSAGE.
Australian and N.Z. Cable Assoctat ion LONDON, Monday.
Mr Ward Price (the British Press correspondent at Salonika) reports: "The Provisional (Venizelist) Government has received information that the Kaiser has sent a significant message to King Constantino, telling him that he cannot co-operate and come to King Constantino's aid against the Allies in Macedonia. The message concludes: All I ask of you now is
that you shall keep your throne." Mr Ward Price concludes: "This message sounds like the dirge to ' Germany's schemes, which undoubtedly were active a few weeks ago for ' making an attempt at co-operation with the Greeks and clear the Balkans of the Allies. It also explains the, facility with which King Constantino was sending troops to Peloponnesus. It isi evident that Germany contemplates intriguing with Greece after the war in the belief that th© latter's long indented coast Kne position at the very gates of Egypt may be of immense strategic value. It will be the business of the VenizOlista to counter any such plans."-
