DISASTROUS FIRE.
CONFLAGRATION AT NEW PLY-
MOUTH.
BIGGEST FOR THIKTY YEARS
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Saturday. The biggest /ire for over thirty years occurred early this morning. The following buildings were completely destroyed:— Theatre Royal. Govett Cjuilliain's Buildings. A.M.1 , . .Buildings (in process of demolition). Walter Bewley's. Hugh Bailey's. Austin Bewley's. Monteath's offices. .T. B. McEwau and Co. 's warehouse. Yealc's grocery was gutted. • Buildings on the opposito side of the street were damaged. The fire had a good hold before it was discovered. A high wind compelled the firemen's attention to the buildings across the street. The tram service in the west end of the town is interrupted.
