Vdch, of Masterton, who have been .on a,, visit to Auckland, have returned home. It was 62 years ago yesterday since the late Mr I'harles Dixon and family arrived in ilnsterton. Mr MeKialay, of Papatawa, was married to Miss Kerridge. of Kaitawa, at Pahiatua on Wednesday. The Rev. Father McKenna performed the ceremony.
The friends of Mrs George Stephens (nee Braggins) will regret to learn of the death of her husband, which occurred at Napier this morning after an illness extending over several weeks.

A Press Association--telegram from Christchurch last night recorded tho death of Mr Thomas Edward Jackson, who had been a master at the Goys' High School since 1894. 110 was a B.A. of London University.
A "London cable states that the late Lord Kitchener's estate is valued at £171,431. He beq-oaths £.200 each to several officcis on his staff, including General Biruwood and Colonel Fitzgerald; £20,000 to his nephew, 11. P. Kitchener, and the residue to Commander H. F. Kitchener.. He bequeathed to Colonel Fitzgerald, who perished with him, all his East African estates. The death occurred en the 17ih inst., at the residence of her daughter, Mrs Crawford, in Wellington, of Mrs James Tweedale, an old settler of the Wairarapa, aged 8S years. Deceased came out to the colony in the Oliver Laing with her parents about GO years ago, and shortly thereafter came to the Wairarap;), where, until about four years ago, she lived ever since!. Sho leaves four daughters and two sons.
