MASTERTON STOCK SALE.

WAIPOUA YARDS. Messrs W. and G. Turnbull and Co., Ltd., report having held their weekly sale in their Masterton saleyards yesterday, when they offered a good yarding of sheep and cattle, as advertised. There was a good attendance of buyers { from all parts of tho district, consequently competition was very keen and a total clearance was made. The bulk of the entry was on account of: the late Mrs R. R. "Welch, which sold as fol-lows:—Sheep.—4-tooth Romney ewes in lamb to Romney rams, 3-Ih (id; (5-tooth Lincoln ewes in lamb to Romney rams, 355; 6 and 8-tooth ewes in lamb to S.D. rams, 35s 2d; mixed sex. lam lis, 20s Id.; small lambs, 14s 8d; fat ewes and wethers, 2Gs; Romney rains, 25s 3d; S.D. rams, 15s. Cattle.--Cows and calves, £10 Ss; fat heifers, £10 15s; store cows, £5; forward heifers, £5 IOh; 2-year steers, £7 3s; 3-year steers, £.10 Ms; yearling heifers, £3 Ss; calves, 20s. On account of other vendors: Sheep.
