DISTRESS AT NEWCASTLE.
MELBOURNE, Friday. Mi' Bcarco (Federal Minister of Defence) sympathised with the deputation regarding the distress at Newcastle, caused by the coal embargo, and promised assistance, although tho interference with the industry was one of the inevitable results* oi the war.
