WEDDING.
VALLANCE—ST. HILL.
A pretty wedding w;is celebrated at St. Aiban's Church, Taueru, to-day, when Mr Berne Vallance, son of Mr and Mrs C. F. Vallanee, of Kahumingi, was married to Nora, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs St. Hill, of Porangahau, Hawke's Bay. The bride, who was given away by her father, was charmingly attired in ivory crepe-de-chine au/l ninon, ,and wore the orthodox wreath and veil. She also carried a beautiful bouquet. The bridesmaids were Aliss St. Hill, Miss Zona Vallance and Miss Dorothy Gilbertson, who were daintily dressed in apricot crepe-de-chine, with embroidery and ninon. Each bridesmaid wore a veil and carried a prayer book. Mr Kenneth Baird acted as best man, and the Rev. H. Watson, of Wellington, officiated. Mrs Vallance (mother of the bridegroom) wore a charming dress of navy blue moree silk, and a hat to match, trimmed with beautiful feathers. Mrs St. Hill (mother of tho bride) was tastefully dressed in mauve satin, and wore a mauve hat with pink trimmings. After the wedding ceremony a reception was held at the residence of tho bridegroom's parents, ■where Mrs Vallance received a large number of guests. The rooms had been beautifully decorated with flowers and greenery, and made a charming spectacle. The popularity of the young couple was demonstrated by the largo sunxber of handsome presents received. Mr and Mrs Berne Vallance left by motor for their honeymoon trip.
