BOXING DAY SPORTS.
FINAL ARRANGEMENTS,
The final meeting of the Friendly Societies' Carnival Executive, prior to Boxing Day, was held last night. The report from the ladies' committee was presented by Bro. Pickering. Miss Capper, the secretary, had arrangements well in hand, and the various Lodges were requested to give all assistance possible to the ladies' committee.
It was resolved that the Lodges hold the same positions on New Year's Day as allotted to them on Boxing Day, in respect to stalls and gates.
It was* also suggested that a monster Friendly Societies' gala be held on Anniversary Day.
All gifts for afternoon tea, cakes, etc., will be collected and left at Miss Capper's tea rooms.
• The sports programme will be printed and on sale on Friday evening.
The Executive require all tho individual assistance possible, and nothing has been left undone that will tend to make Boxing Day a success, and visitors to the Park are assured of a pleasant day's sport for a good purpose, our wounded heroes.
