WAIHI REEFS-GIGANTIC.

The mine manager reports on operations at the mine for week ending April 24th as follows: —The contractors have advanced the north crosscut at. J 000 feet level 18ft., making total length frjom shaft 368 ft. We are now on the line as directed by the surveyor, and are penetrating first-class audesito country, showing strong veins of pyrites; the country in this face has improved during the week; the total driven for week is 35ft. All machinery is kept in good running order, and every effort is being made to get crosscuts Tip to the estimated line of reefs.
