ALLIES RELIEF FUND.

The secretary (Mr D. Hebenton) acknowledges the following additional donations to tho Poor of Great Britain and Allies' Relief Fund:— £ s. d. Smith's employees £2, Misses Elliott £1, James Elliott's employees £1. Mr D. Hebenton has received the following circular from Mr R. W. Shallcrass, general secretary of the Belgian Fund: —"His Excellency the Jtovernoi" has received various contributions which have beeu forwarded to London iv connection with, the British and Belgian relief fund. Up to the present a sum of £37,358 has been transmitted for the Belgian relief . and £25,642 for the Poor of Great Britain and Ireland. The Belgian Minister writes: —'I shall be obliged if you wjij. kindly couvey to the Governor and <& all kind donors my most grateful thanks for their continued help, which is so deeply appreciated by my suffering •ountrymen, and will ever be remembered by them.' The treasurer to the Prince of Wales' fund writes: —'His Roj'.al Highness was extremely gratified at receiving this splendid addition to tho fund, and wished me to writo you a special letter, asking you to make known to the subscribers how warmly His Royal Highness appreciates the generous support which he had received from New Zealand."
