FLOUR AND POLLARD.
COMPLAINTS IN NEW SOUTH
WALES,
SYDNEY, Tuesday,
Before the Commodities Commission, poultrymen complained that pollard supplied lately was badly adulterated with offal, and even included sand.
Country storekeepers complain that as a result of the acquisition of the Wheat Acquisition Act they cannot now obtain flour from local mills; they must obtain it from Sydney and pay back freight. - They also complain that country millers are permitted to export flour to New Zealand and Victoria, where higher prices are obtainable. The storekeepers contend they ai-c thus placed in an. unfair position, and ask the Government to intervene and correct an apparent injustice.
