CAIRO, Monday, A Tho enemy's arrangements' for travelling through the desert were good. They marched well, covering the journey from Beersheba to the > canal in ten days. Chaplains had been instructed to warn the soldiers that victory or Paradise awaited them in Egypt, and death or hell if they returned. The Syrian troops advanced bravely on the warships, from which shells wiped out the party and their officers. Tho latest news indicates that the enemy's advance guard is in full retreat.
