Messrs Murray, Roberts and. Co., Ltd., have, received a cablegram , under date 3rd inst., as follows: —"Market firm. Merino 10 per cent higher than last sales' closing rates. French and American buyers operating freely. The second series oi: sales have been postponed until Fbruary 23rd. Tho list closes on Bth February. The third series may
be postponed. " The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London house, under date 3rd inst.: —London wool sales.—The next sales havo been postponed till February 23rd. Tallow. —We quote present spot values for the following descriptions: Fine mutton 39s 3d per cwt., good beef 36$' 3d, mixed 335. The market is-strong.
