EMPLOYERS AND DEFENCE CONTRACTS.
(Received Friday, at 10.15 a.m..) SYDNEY, Friday
The Employers' Federation has passed a resolution protesting against tho clause in the Defence Department contracts empowering a Trades Union walking delegate to inspect the work, and also against Government industrial competition with private enterprise. A resolution was also passed that in order to encourage enlistment employers bo urged to assure preference of employment after the war to all employees who have joined the colours.
