At the wool sales all sorts were firm, and there was strong competition. Prices realised: Wrangeline, 14d, 12 l-8d; Gogeldrie, 13Ad, 10Ad; Tabratong, 10* d, 9 ' 1-Sd; Bungaree, 12-Jd, 11-jdj Dirkhartog, lOd, S-]d; Naroo, O'Jd, 8 5-8 d; Manberry, 9:1 d, S 7-Sd. New Zealand: Ngakaroa, 15-Jd, 15d; Burling, 15£ d, 14 7-Sd; Lansdowne, 141 d, 13 5-8 d; Richmond, I2d, 11 1-Sd. (Received Thursday, 12.5 p.m.) LONDON, Wednesday.
Merinos are firm and crossbreds arc hardening. The Mangaroa clip realised 131 d. The next series of wool sales will open on February 23rd, instead of February 16th.
The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., havo received the foi lowing cablegram from their London house, under date 2nd inst: —London Wool Sales. —Merino has advanced 5 per cent. The market is firm for other sorts. There is strong competition for America.
