A FATAL FALL.
MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE LAID.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Wednesday.
As a.sequel to the coroner's finding in the inquest into the cause of th» death of James Porter, as a result of a fall from a signal post at Helensville, Harry Johnston, the man in charge of the gang of signal erectors at the time of the accident, has been charged! with manslaughter. A remand wag granted for a week, and bail was fixed at £40.
