WEDDING.

WELCH—FALKNER.

A very protty wedding was solemnised in the Public Hall, Kaiparoro, on Wednesday last, tho contracting parties boing Miss Mary Falknor, second daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Falkncr, of Kaiparoro, to Mr Cyril Welch, fourth son of Mr and Mrs A. J. Welch, of "Fir Grove," Mastpton. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a dress, of cream silk taffeta, trimmed with lace and pearls, wearing also the„usual veil and orange blossoms. Tho bridesmaids, Misses Gertie and Ethel Falkner, sisters of the bride, wore white hailstone muslin, with white mop caps, trimmed with pink roses and ribbons, and carried shower bouquets of white roses and pink carnations. Mr J. Bright acted as best man, and Mr Owen Welch, brother of the bridegroom, was groomsman. After a hearty wedding breakfast had been enjoyed by over fifty guests, at the residenco of the bride's parents, and tho usual toasts had been honoured, the happy couple left by motor for Eketahuna, thence by train for the north, where the honeymoon will bo spent. Tho brido's travelling costume was a tailor-mado navy blue serge, with a saxo blue hat trimmed with black plumes. Tho Rev. Walke, of Eketahuna, officiated. A dance was held in the evening.
