The Tagliche Rundschau says Britaitf has definitely rejected Russia's and[ France's request to join the Franco-i Russian Naval Convention. Sir E. Grey intimated that the Gov-! ernment desired, in deferance to British sentiment, to maintain good relations with Germany, and avoid a step which might be regarded as directecj against the latter. ,
