CLEARING SALE
The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report having hold a very successful clearing rale on account of Mr Alfred Tinsley, Manaia, on Thursday last. There was a good attendance of buyers, and competition was animated, the prices realised being most satisfactory. Forward empty ewes made 17s, woolly lambs 14s 9d. The dairy cows brought from £4 for three weaners, to £11 5s for sound empty cows £4 10s to £G ss, 2yr old heifers in calf £4 10s, weaner heifers £2 11s, yearling /Jersey bull £4 10s, draught mare £37, aged draught mare £20 ss, draught gelding £30, 4 porkers £1 12s 6d, sows £2 Is to £4 2s, boar £2 7s, 25 tons clover hay £3 Is, 16 tons oaten hay £2 2s 6d, oat sheaf chaff £3 17s 6d per ton, reaper and binder £20 10s, | drill £33 ]os, Cambridge roller £16, cultivator £8 15s, spring cart £10, while other implements, harness, sundries, etc., sold at full market rates.
