THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES.

"NO- QUARTER."

There was a very large and enthusiastic audience at the ■T.P. Electric Theatre for the change of programme on Saturday evening.' The series of pictures shown were an exceptionally line selection, and met with the hi"hest approbation of tho audience. The star production, "No Quarter," was a detective story of an intensely thrilling nature, and kept the audience on the tip-toe of excitement from beginning to end. The story was of a clover and sensational burglary committed by a notorious Paris gang, and showed the utter failure of the French police to capture the outlaws, Avho had terrorised Paris for so long. An English detective is put on the job, and after a' very sensational chase he captures the bang lot, and hands them over to ji/stice. The thieves trick their pursuer, but he proves too much for them, and escapes. Then follows a most scusational ■motor-car race, which proves unsuccessful in capturing the thieves. An aeroplane is then brought to operate against them, and the gang are run down aud secured. Part of the film is taken from the flying machine, and is a most peculiar novelty. The trials through which the detective and his men pass add much excitement to the story, which is one of the best of its kind screened in Masterton. "The Younger Sister" was a comedy of some 1500 feet, in which Miss Florence Turner absolutely capitivated her audience, the dainty actress showing considerable talent in a subject which suited her. Several other subjects shown included "Comrades" (drama). "The Flower Girl and the Counterfeiters" (drama), "Kelly as Aviator" (comedy), and the. latest "Topical Gazette." This up-to-date series will be shown again to-night aud to-morrow night. Patrons are reminded of the big exclusive feature, "Feodor.i," which etihimences on Wednesday night.
