We have received from Me33rs McLeod and Young, of "The Academy," parts I. and 11. of Hutchinson's "History of the Nations." This is a popular, concise, pictorial and authoritativeaccount of each nation from tho earliest time to the present day. It is edited throughout by Walter Hutehinaon, M.A., F.R.G.S., F.E.A.1., and is written by eminent historians. Tho discoveries and retcarch of tho last few yeai-3 have placed at tho publishers' disposal a macs of new information, and the immense improvements in the process of illustrating enables thr.t information to be presented in a vivid and enthralling manner, such as has never before boon possible. One of the great features of the new work is its conciseness. Tno history is sumptuously illustrated throughout, and contains a number of beautiful coloured plates. The "History of the Nations" contains information as to tho riso and fall of every nation that can be read in an hour or so.
