NARROW ESCAPES.
(Received Thursday, at 10.20 a.m.) LONDON, Thursday.
Fourteen survivors had a narrow escape. It was impossible to launch the pilot cutter's boats. Several men scrambled aboard the Star of New Zealand by tho anchor chain, as the vessels stuck fast. Directly they parted the. cutter sank, three minutes after the collision.
