BASEBALL.

A meeting of those interested in the "Ball Game, ,, as it is known in America, will be held to-morow evening at Wellington and the American Consul Mr A. E. Whyte, will take the chair. Baseball, if played correctly, is, as most people know, a game which calls for great science, and one which is good from the spectators' point of view. It is one in which personal distinction may be gained. Already there are said to" be eight teams, consisting of nine men each, ready to take the field, and it is thought that this number will shortly be augmented.
