AUCKLAND, Wednesday

At a meeting of the Auckland Presbytery, the .Rev. A .Murray resigned the eonvenorship of the Bursary Committee on the ground that he "cannot conscientiously help students to study at a scat of learning under professors, one of whom declared recently that tho Old Testment is not the Word of God." The Rev. Mr Bertram objected to the attack upon the character of men not present to defend themselves. Mr Murray replied that no man's character was attacked. The resignation was accepted.
