Mrs O. .N. 0. PragncU left this mor•ning on a holiday trip to Wanganui. Mr C. Avory has been nominated tor the office of President of the PalnatuaAkitio A. and P. Association. Mr E. A. Cook, of the Mastcrtoi staff of the Bank oil New South Wales, has been transferred to tno bank's Sydney branch, and will loavo for the latter city by the Mamiganui on F. Hunn and A. W. Chapman will represent tho Mastcrton Masonic Lodge at the annual mooting or the N.Z. Grand Lodgo of Freemasons at Ghristchurch. Mr W. G. llnnd-Newton has been appointed treasurer of the Mastcrton Musical and .Elocutionary Competitions Society vice Mr M. R. Variilmm, resigned. An invitation is to be extended to the Rev. Dr Gibb, of Wellington, to visit Masterton in connection with tho Presbyterian Home .Mission, and exchange pulpits with ministers in tno district. Mr C. IT. Hood, who has been engaged in farming'at Mangamairo tor several years, has disposed of his property, and purchased another lurni at Rangioutu near Foxton. Sir Ronald Munro-Ferguson, the new Governor-General of the Commonwealth, and his wife, are passengers by the Otway, which has just arrived ■at Freniantlo from London, says a The funeral of the late Mrs Allen Donald took place on Monday alteriioon, a very largo number ot Inends and sympathisers following the cort Vr>° to tho Featherston cemetery. The bearers were Messrs L. Donald, 1 . Henry, John McDonald and John Murphy, and the pall-bearers were Messrs \ J. ToogooJ, M. B. Tait, Arch, Clark and Donald Reid (Wellington). Terv many beautiiul ilornl tributes were sent, and amongst the wreaths were ones from the president and stewards of the Wairarapa Racing Club, Featherston Town Board Commissioners, members and managers of the Presbyterian Church, Donald Factory employees, dairy lads, and Donald Estate employees. The services at the house and at the graveside were conducted by the Revs. James Paterson and G. K. Stowell.
