The annual conference of the New Zealand Shearers' Association was opened in the Wellington Town Hall yesterday afternoon, Mr J. Cooper (president) being in the chair. The following shearers' delegates were present: —Messrs W. Boone and W. Bell 1 (Christchurch), Charles Grayndler (Woodville), John Townsend (Blenheim), C. R. Johnston. (Ashburfon),. W. T. Adair (Dunedin), and . William McLennan. Mr Ji'Ke'ogK (Kurow) is also present as representative of the shed hands, being one of the delegates appointed by the executive in view of the fact that a shed hands' agreement is to be discussed during the conference. Mr James Morgan (Gisborne), the other shed hands' representative, is expected to arrive to-day. The afternoon's proceedings consisted of making routine arrangements for the conference. A large number of remits have been submitted "for consideration by the various sheds. Don't let catarrh clog your mind.
