HENDRY—HOLDAWAY.
A very pretty wedding was celebrated in the Congregational Church to-day, the parties being Mr Percy B. Hendry, eldest son of Mr and Mrs A". Hendry, of Masterton, and Miss Elizabeth Holdaway, second daughter of Mr and Mrs D. Holdaway, of Dunedin. The bride, who was given away by her bro-ther-in-law, Mr W. Wilkes, was prettily -dressed in a white voile froelpl with court train caught up with orange ' blossoms, and true lovers' knot of satin ribbon, and lace over-dress. The veil was arranged as a Juliet cap, With wreath of orange blossoms. The bride carried a bouquet of cream roses..and maiden-hair fern.
The bridesmaids were Miss : Cissie Cooper, of Nelson, Miss Agnes Hodge, of Napier, and little Melva Wilkes, of Masterton (niece of the bride). They all Avore cream silk frocks with overdresses of ivory crystalline; trimmed with tiny pink rosebuds, and mob caps to match. The bridesmaids carried bunches of white cactus dahlias and autumn leaves, and the little one a shepherd's crook. Mr C. A. Hendry, of Masterton, acted as best man, and Mr J. H. E. .Cooper, of Nireaha, as groomsman. The Rev. B. L. Thomas performed the ceremony. Miss Lexie Green officiated at the organ.' The church was prettily decorated for the occasion.
After the ceremony the guests adjourned to the social hall at the rear of the church, where a sumptuous wedding breakfast was partaken of, the tables being decorated with autumn leaves.'* The usual toasts were honoured. . tfj Mr and Mrs Hendry left this noon for the North, where the honeymoon is to be spent, the bride's travelling dress being a tailor-made navy costume, with white velour hat trimmed w T ith white.plumes.
