WELCH—McLACHLAN.
A wedding of considerable local iutirest was solemnized at St. Matthew's Church, this afternoon, between Mr V.. K. Welch, son of the late Mr G. H. Welch, of'-Masterton, and Miss Ruby McLachlan, eldest daughter of Mr Duncan McLachlan, of "Willow Park," Opaki. Miss I. McLachlan was brides- i n;aid and Mr Claude Welch best man. J The bride wore white crepe de Chine with over-dress of brocaded silk and lace, veil held v<ith a bandeau of pearls. She carried a bouquet of pale { pink and white roses, with maiden.; hair and asparagus fern, tied with pink
-ibbon. The bridesmaid's dross was of pale pink crepe de Chine, with overdress of ninou, and she wore a black velvet hat, trimmed with pink rose and ribbons. Her bouquet consisted of heliotrope cactus dahlias, with asparagus ferns and ribbons to match. A reception was held at "Mrs Capper's and Mr and Mrs Welch left for the north in the afternoon.
