MASTERTON STOCK SALE
SOLWAY YAEDS.
Messrs D.'Utfety and Co., Ltd., report having hold their usual weeldy sii-lo at Sol way yesterday, when there was the usual attendance aud a good yarding of stock, of Avhich we report a total clearance. A particularly nice line of woolly wether lambs offered on account of Messrs Armstrong Tiros., realised the satisfactory price of 14s. Other prices are as follows:-r-Sheop: Two-tooth wethers Lis lid, fat ewes J4s 4d, 14s 7d to Lis ;>d; mixed aged ewes .Lis i.d, f.m. ewes 10s 9d, good woolly wether lambs Lis, do. ewe. Jambs lis i)d, do. wether lambs lis L'd, mixed sex I lambs 9s 2d, Shropshire rams Ugns. Cattle. —Mixed weaners 245, fat bullocks £10. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on their Solwav sale held yesterday:-—■ We submitted a good average yarding in both sheep and cattle. All good quality lines sold freely at rates equal to pre"vious markets. A few pens of poor class sheep only failed to change hands. In breeding ewes the best, figures obtained were bis fid for aged sorts. Very forward eon-ditioned ewes l.'is tid to 14s 9d, ewes in oaclcward condition 8s to 10s. The wethers offered were culled sorts, these making Kis (id, good conditioned Down cross owes and wethers bis. In lambs only black-fac-ed sorts came forward, medium sorts Ss 1 I<l to 9s '.Ul.
