A good amount of business has been, done in grain during the week. Velvet wheat is in greater demand, but other sorts less so. The following are the quotations:—.'ss 73 d to os fld; Red Tus-, .-an, ;'.s S?.d to ">s 9d; Marshall's White, ."is 7Ad and 15s Sd; all net at country stations. There has been a better demand for heavy oats," and good milling; Gartons have been taken at Is B£d and ]s 9d for B grade. The price paid has been Is 7d and 3s 7hi to Is Sd, all net at country stations A line of '750 sacks of prime milling barley has been. sold at .Ms net at country stations. Ryecorn has sold at 3s net at country stations. The quotations for cocksfoot seed of good quality is 4d. There is little business doing in potatoes owing" to the absence of orders for shipment .
