(Received Friday, at 12.15 p.m.) HALIFAX, Thursday. Thrilling scenes of heroism marked the wreck of the steamer City of Sydney off Sambro, Novia Scotia. While salvaging the' cargo a heavy sea capsized a dory, and Captain Burns and Seaman Snow were thrown into the water. Another dory rescued them, but the sea capsized it also, and three men Avere then struggling in Avhirlin" Avatcr. Assistance arrived, and another dory rescued the third man, but as they Avere dragging in Burns the seas tore the dories apart, aud Burns sank exhausted.

A croAvd Avatched from the seashore, fearing both rescuers and rescued Avould be overpowered by the heavy sea running.
