ALLEGED SLANDER.
[By Telegraph—Press Association.] NAPIER, Friday. Mr Justice Edwards to-day heard argument by counsel in the Deck 'a*. Reed slander suit, an application for a nOAV trial. The Judge described the verdict,(giving Deck £150 damages) as illogical and inconsistent. He reserved his decision on the question of nonsuiting the plaintiff, but said if it did not grant that he would certainly order a new trial, , - .
