DUNEDIN, Thursday

The action of the Dunedin Bakers' and Pastrycooks' Industrial Union in deciding to hold their annual picnic next Sunday is strongly opposed by some church organisations. The Committee of public morals, appointed by the Methodist Conference, both met to-day, and passed resolutions strongly protesting against the proposal.
