IN THE NICK OF TIME.

SHIP'S CREW SAVED,

RESCUE IN A RAGING SEA,

Press Association—Electric Telegraph- Copyright. (Received Wednesday, at 11.40 a.m.) LONDON, Tuesday.

The steamer Lusitania, homewardbound, encountered the brigantine Mayflower in a sinking condition.

The first officer, Alexander, with a volunteer crew, launched the lifeboat, but found it impossible to reach the sinking vessel. They threw a line and belts to the crew of the Mayflower, and by these means rescued them through the raging sea.
