SWIMMING WAIRARAPA CARNIVAL.

I A very large gathering of swimmers is expected to be present at the Mas- | terton Club's carnival, to be held in the Park Lake to-morrow. A party of Wellington enthusiasts are. expected to arrive by the late train to-night, and will include most of the officials from the Wellington and N.Z. Swimming Associations. Public patrons of the club are expected to be present in large numbers, and these have been catered for in a very capable manner. The Club has spared neither time nor expense to provide a nast up-to-date programme of events, and apart -rom this comic items of more than usual interest should go a long way to make this year's function a record success. Great interest is being taken in the ladies' championship, in which some of the best competitors in New Zealand will cake part. The Masterton Municipal Band has been engaged, two stalls will be doing business with drinks, etc.,'and fruit, and hot water will be supplied by the committee free of charge.

The Club have been fortunate in procuring a large number of forms for seating accommodation at their carnival. The difficulty in providing sufficient seating accommodation for the public in past seasons has been overcome, and the Club has made preparations for the accommodation of a very large attendance of the public.
