ENTERTAINMENTS.

THOMPSON-PA 3TNE PICTURES,

TWO BIG SPECIALS

"The Diamond League," at present .screening at the T.P. Electric Theatre, is drawing very large houses, last night being no exception. The story is a stirring romance laid in beautiful South African scenery, and shows the running to earth of a clever gang of diamond swindlers. Fine acting, realistic effects, and a cleverly worked plot make this feature ti most interesting , and notable one. Miss Florence Turner made her debut in a new film of her own company, and quite excelled herself in a clever production, appearing in the earlier scenes as a demuro country maid, and blooming into a smart society entertainer. The title "Rose of Surrey" fits the picture nicely, ami 1 as the rose, Miss Turner is excellent. "The Kidnapped Train" was an interesting drama by the Victor Company, showing an eventful strike at a factory, and.a sensational race for life by train. "Art or Honour" was a fine Lubin society drama that proved very popular. Numerous other subjects include "Tombs of Ming Emperors," and "Fancy Poultry." This programme will be shown to-night for the last time. A fine matinee programme will bo shown the little ones at 2.30 o'clock on Saturday.
