The Wairarapa Amateur Athletic Club held an evening meeting on the Park Oval yesterday. Tho two events (300 yds handicap and polo vault) were won by Oscar Gallic, a young athlete who shows much promise. Mr A. Eippon, who acted as starter, handled the field well. Results: — 300 Yards Handicap.—O. Gallic (35 yds) 1; J. Bradbury (24yds) 2; A. Angus (26yds) 3. Ten started. Pole Vault Handicap.— O. Gallio (hep 3ft), 10ft 6in # 1; V. Fairbrother (2ft 6inj, 10ft 3in, 2; R. McKouzio (Gin) 9ft, and G. Harvey (ser) 9ft (dead heat) 3.
