BELIEVED TO BE STILL ABOVE WATER.

(Received Thursday, at 11.35 a.m.) ST. JOHN, Wednesday. According to reports the steamer Cobequid is still above water. The reports however, are unverified. The Canadian Government steamer Lady Laurier has been despatcned in an endeavour to locate the wreck.

Much wreckage is ashore off the coast of Nova Scotia, but it is not known if it belongs to the Cobequid.
