ENTERTAINMENTS.

THOMPSON-PASrNE PICTUEEB.

THREE BIG ATTRACTIONS,

Three big specials will be included in the change of programme at the Thomp-Bon-Payne Pictures this evening, while in addition the Napier Mardi Gras film will be shown for the last time. "The Rose of Surrey" is a 2500 foot film by the Turner Company and features Miss Florence Turner, the versatile Vitgraph girl, in one of her own productions. The story is an appealing domestic one, and will be a sure winner with all who see at. Another big film will be "The Diamond League, ,, an exciting drama nearly 4000 feet in length. The story starts with suspicion of a great leakage in a diamond mine, and ■ a clever engineer, Wiudermere, is sent to unravel the mysterious disappearance of valuable stones. Exciting incidents follow, including the capture of Windermere by a clever gang. He eventually escapes, the league is exterminated, and the story ends as it should. Two educational lilnis will be shown in "Keeping Fancy Poultry" and "Tombs of Ming Empire." Other pictures include "The Kidnapped Train" (Victor), "The Curate at the Races" (Ilepworth), "The Rose of Salem" (Kalem), "A Game For Two" (Keystone), and "The New Conductor" (Keystone). This is a splendid and most up-to-date scries, and should result in crowded audiences.
