WAIRARAPA CENTRE.

ANNUAL MEETING

The annual meeting of the Wairurapa Bowling Centre was held at Carterton last evening. Delegates from the Masterton, Grey town, and Carterton Clubs and Mr J. C. Ewing'on wasW-oted to the chair. Tne following officen were elceteJh — President, Mr O. Pragnell (Mast :rtori); secretary and treasurer, Mr A. Plullpotts (Carterton}. It was decided to hold a centre tournament at Masterton on January Ist and 2nd, 1914, and all arrangements in connection therewith were left in the hands of the local delegates.

On account of the Centre not having received word from the Eketahuna and Pahiatua Clubs as to whether they would take part in the Shield and Booth Cup competitions, it was decided to hold over the drawing of the fixtures for these events until a later date. It was decided that when the clubs mentioned had notified the Centre of their intention the delegates of the Carterton and \.rreytown Clubs draw up the fixtures.

It was also decided to arrange, if possible, centre matches vith "Wellington, Manawatu and Hawke's Bay.

Correspondence was received from the Northern Bowling Association, stating that the next championship tournament would be held at Dnnedin, commencing on January 12th next, and would be continued for two weeks. The iirstjpeek of the tournament would be to rink matches, and the second week to singles and' doubles matches. The Association also stated that the next North Island competitions would take place again at Auckland on account of the exhibition being lield in the northern city. The tournament would be held late in February, at a date to be fixed.

Other routine business was transacted.
