COLLECTIVE BARGAINING.

LONDON, Wednesday. The Hearts of Oak, National, Standard, ami General Assurance Societies have agreed to amalgamate with the Transport Workers' Federation, and resolved to co-operate with any authorisdl body in assisting the Irish transport workers,, on the understanding that the principle of collective bargaining is fully recognised. The Parliamentary Committee of the Trades Union Congress endorsed the resolution. A large employer in Dublin has appealed to both sides to concede points to ensure a settlement.
