WOODVILLE SALES
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., Pahiatua, report on their Woodville sale, held on Monday, as follows: —We offered a fair yarding of sheep, and a heavy yarding of over three hundred head of cattle, to a large attendance of ! buyers, and have to report a good clearance at the following prices:—Mixed hoggets 10s Id to 10s 4d, empty ewes l,'3s 6d, mixed yearlings in poor condition £2 4s to £2 ss, yearling heifers £2 7s 6d, fifteen months P.A. cross heifers £3 16s 6d, fat cows £5 to £G, for- : ward cows £3 10s to £4 3s, store cows j 3(is to £2 os, empty heifers £3 5s- to £4 j los. We have to report that dairy ! , stock was not much in demand, but a' j good clearance was made at the under- j mentioned rates: Backward conditioned cows in milk £4, cows on drop £4 3s, springing heifers £5 12s 6d, £6 5s to £6 10s.
