SYDNEY, Tuesday. # The annual report of the AuditoV General points out that though the State's receipts exceeded those of anyprevious year, the expenditure was more rapid, leaving a deficit of £1,044,978, while the loan expenditure was over three millions above that of any previous year.

The Auditor-General declares that the strained condition of the finances will have to be relieved by contributions from business undertakings.
