CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday

At the adjourned inquest on William Alexander Banks, who was killed at Rangiora by the north express colliding with a lorry which he was driving, the coroner found that deceased's death was due to injuries received through his being thrown from a wagon he was driving, which was run into by an express train from Christchurch to Eangiora tsvhen crossing the level crossing at High street, Eangiora.

Mr Wright, who appeared for the Bailway Department, asked the coroner would absolve ■, Mrs HuraphreyS"*Jpni blame, but Mr Bailey replied that lie preferred not to make any reference to blame in connection with the occurrence.
