NORTH OTAGO MARKETS.

(By Telegraph.-—Press Association.) OAMARU, Sunday. Thero is a fairly good demand for wheat, but few offerings have been received from the country, farmers beingbusy sowing oats, and laying down new pastures. Then, again, the quantity in farmers' hands is not large. The net prices paid at country stations have been: —Velvet, 4s O.d to 4s Id; redchaff, 3s 9d; Tuscan, 3s 6d to 3s 7d; Marshall's white, 3s 6d. Gates have eased a little, but the indications are. that they will improve again, as no large quantity is held in the district. The net prices are:—A grade Garton's, 2s Id; and B grade, 2s; 70s is the price paid for oatsheaf chaff. Very little is doing in potatoes, and for orders to fill 40s to 42s 6d have been paid net on trunks for freshly-picked lots. Otherwise, the price paid has ranged from 32s 6d to 355.
