THE MURDER OF HANSEN

Pres l ; Association—F.lcC!ric Teleeraph—Copyright. (Received Monday, at 8.10 a.m.) PERTH, Monday. The sentence on O'Brien for murder ing Hansen has been commuted to pc nal servitude for life.

(O'Brien told the police that Hansen had stolen some of his belongings, and that he went to get them back. There was a struggle', and Hansen seized the muzzle of O'Brien's gun, which went off, Hansen being fatally shot. He was found guilty of murder, and sentenced to death, but Avas recommended to mercy on account of his age.)
