TIMARU, Wednesday. The South Canterbury Jockey Club's autumn meeting was opened to-day, ia fino weather, and in the presence of a record attendance. The totalisator handled £11,562, as against £6343 last year. The results are as follow: — Otipua Hurdles;— Daylight Bill, 1; Gold Fin, 2; Redwing, 3. RosewiU Handicap.-—First. Glance 1, Robert Bell 2, Fairlie 3. Smithfiold Handicap.—lrish Gift 1, Stepmaid 2, Maple Leaf 3. Tiinaru Cup. —Thrax 1, Kilmeny 2, Sunbeam 3.
