NEW PLYMOUTH, Wednesday. The Turanaki Jockey Club's Autumn meeting commenced to-day in beautiful weather, though rain suddenly blew up for the last two races. The course was in splendid order, and the attendance was »ood. The totalisator handled £12,840, as ayainst £10,506 10s for the corresponding day last year.
