PAHIATUA STOCK SALE.
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows: We offered a good yarding of both sheep and cattle on the 11th inst. There was an improved tone in the sheep market, the demand being keener and prices better than late rates. Cattle sold at recent prices. Quotations: Four-tooth wethers 15s 6d, sound mouth ewes 8s Sd to 12s Id, shorn lambs 5s to Bs, Shropshire rams 21s, IS-nionth steers £3 9s 6d to £3 12s, empty cows £3 Is to £3 12s Gd, dairy heifers £2 13s Gd to £3 15s, mixed weavers 25s to 355, bulls £2 10s to £3 17s Gd.
