A severe conflict took place .at Emperor Menelik's palace between the guard and troops ordered by Lidj Jeassu (the heir to the throne) to replace them. Thousands of troops surround the palace. Emperor Menelik, whose death was reported recently, is still alive. The death of the Emperor Menelik is periodically reported. We get little news from Abyssinia, and what we do get cannot be relied on.
